The birth story of healing art for meditation & contemplation

Such is the journey of allowing & capturing the images I draw.

It began in January 2019, when I decided to give myself time to just draw whatever I felt in the moment. It was a daily practice, a gift of mindfulness and a moment of playful curiosity.

A sense of what if......

I gave myself 30 minutes to just enjoy the pencils. I love to mix the hard and soft leads and create texture, shadow & light play. I love the way the pencil sounds on the paper. I love the organic nature of real art materials. I don't know about you but I can't even use the mouse pad on the laptop. It gives me a wobbly feeling, a sense of disconnection. I need the pencils to ground myself. I need the smell of the paper. Just like handwriting it takes me back to my childhood self, surrounded by crayons & felt tips & possibility.

Each SourceDoodle is drawn in this way first. I carried on this way for about a year and a half, compiling a heap of delicate little drawings that seemed to capture a mood, a sense of movement, a sense of connection to neural pathways, to cosmic pathways & to joy and light. I tasked myself to share them on Instagram, regardless of how I felt about them, and whatever came up was my learning for the day about myself.

It was an exercise in self trust and acceptance.

It was something I needed to begin anchoring in my sovereignty.

It was a way of nurturing my identity as an artist & a lightworker.

Decades of healing work brought me to this place where I could openly say 'I am an ARTIST'

It was and still is a healing process for me.

And then I discovered filters, on my phone.......

And then the bigger magic happened.....

I played and played for hours, sitting with each image, feeling through the colours, the experimentation, the effects...what a wonderland of lush!

And so the SourceDoodles that you see here are the result of that curiosity.

With each image a title comes through intuitively and a message for healing.

A message for connecting you back to your heart, back to compassion, back to knowing, back to your awareness that you are a unique expression of light that contributes to a collective field.

As an energy healer I could feel the resonance within the images.

I could see that they spoke further than me as an artist.

I am their guardian

They come through me and my pencil for the good of the collective

It is my soul purpose to nurture the healing possibilities of divine creative expression within myself so that the images I bring through may act as a catalyst for you to begin your own journey of self-expression and the opening of your own heart.

A capturing of energy

An anchoring of light intensity

A glorious weaving of fluidity

A playful curiosity
